After completing the sitting parrot, I wanted to design a flying parrot in origami as well. I started from a similar base, but instead of making patterns on the wings, elongated them and spread the wings out. The head, tail and feet are remain unchanged.
This is neither my most complex, nor my best model, but I think it features an elegant as well as efficient inner structure. That´s why I am posting the crease pattern as well.
The crease pattern of my flying parrot is using 22,5° structures with diagonal symmetry.
